Hello! A new document has been uploaded to the links and documents section under the General DofE documents tab. This document has information about changes that have been put in place to help DofE candidates continue on with their program while we are under the current restrictions due to CV19. Information will be coming in the near future about expeditions and we are aiming to do what we can to limit the disruption to your award completion. Please continue to check the website frequently. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances, we have had to cancel the rest of our DofE sessions for the year as well as our practice expeditions for June. We will keep our September dates as is and I will communicate as soon as I have clarity about what will happen regarding practice/assessed expeditions. This is for both walking and canoeing expeditions. As mentioned in our meeting, continue to work on any skill or physical for the time being as possible and I will keep you updated as we receive more information. The Green Team are a charity that works with young people in and around Edinburgh aiming to connect people with nature, each others and themselves. They run a variety of different programmes for people from all backgrounds and ages. Two of their programmes; Green Volunteers and Green Angels are suitable for completing volunteering and skill sections for DofE and are available for young people aged between 12-18. Both these programmes run at the weekends during term time and involve some conservation work. See www.greenteam.org.uk for details.
